You can reduce stomach fat by eating a healthy low-fat diet. The two main causes of stomach fat are poor diet and lack of exercise. You can run a mile every day, but it won't make a bit of difference if you're eating a pound of red meat on a regular basis. Your diet should consist of fruits, vegetables and low-fat proteins such as chicken, fish and turkey meats.

Another great tip is to start reading food labels to find nutrition information and stay away from certain oils such as vegetable oils, canola oils and a few others. Limit sweets and items high in fat as well.

One key component to reduce stomach fat and achieve a slimmer body  is a healthy mind. Stress, depression and other negative factors add to the difficulty of maintaining one’s weight. Get rid of them. Stress induces the production of the hormone cortisol which, studies say is related to an increase in visceral fat.

Visceral fat surrounds your vital organs and the more visceral fat you carry around the higher your chances of developing insulin resistance leading to type 2 diabetes, heart disease and other metabolic syndromes. so when you decide on losing weight, decide on releasing the stressors that bog you down as well than you'll be ready to set your mind to your goal and lose the weight you desire.

2. Schedule Your Day & Your Meals

Schedule your meal times just as you would schedule your workday with clearly defined meeting times, goals and to-do lists, I would advise you to schedule your eating and exercise habits to help hold yourself accountable. As you move through the day (8AM: oatmeal with flaxseed, 11AM: apple and water, 12PM lunch etc.), you'll feel accomplished as you check things off your list.

When you plan these small events and are able to check them off you'll feel a sense of accomplishment.  Once we experience a feeling of achieving our small goals it motivates us to do more and more.

3. Work Flaxseed Into Your Daily Routine

One of the easiest things you can do to speed weight-loss is to add two tablespoons of flaxseed into your daily regimen mix this great source of micro-nutrientand dietary fiber  into your morning oatmeal, blended with a smoothie or sprinkled over soup or salad. Flaxseed is full of fiber so it fills you up and keeps you feeling fuller longer.

Flaxseed contains omega-3 essential fatty acids, "good" fats. The good fats that have been shown to have heart-healthy effects. Each tablespoon of ground flaxseed contains about 1.8 grams of plant omega-3s and flaxseed contains both the soluble and insoluble fiber. Fiber helps you to eliminate waste which will help you to lose weight and sweep toxins out of your colon.

flaxseed can be found in the health food section of the grocery store or a specialty store like GNC, whole foods, or Trader Joes. There are other place you can get flaxseed so just go on line and find where it can be located in your area.

4. Switch Dairy Milk For Non-Dairy Milk

Dairy milk as designed to nourish a baby calf and help it quickly put on a thousand pounds quickly. Because adult humans don't need the fat, lactose and growth hormones, I would advise switching dairy milk for a non-dairy alternative like soy, almond, hemp or rice milk. This minor change can show you major results in your waist line.

5. Drink Eight Glasses Of Water Or More A Day

Drinking Water helps to detoxify your body which also helps you to wash away fat cells from your abdominal area.

Drinking an 8-ounce glass of water at least eight times a day helps not only to reduce stomach fat but it helps to hydrate your body and your organs.  More importantly try to drink water immediately before a meal. This technique, called pre-loading, literally fills up your stomach so you get full faster and you won't feel like eating as much.

In one study that I’ve researched the participants who drank two cups of water before eating lost five pounds more fat than those who did not. I use this technique on a regular basis, especially before dinner because dinner is usually my last meal for the day and it helps to fill me up so I don’t have as much food to metabolize before go to bed.

6. Crowd Out Instead Of Cut Out

Instead of a strict diet that tells you all the things not to eat, there is a better way to approach your desired goal, crowd out food instead of cutting out food.

Basically, you should only focus on what you can eat vs. what you cannot eat, by slowly working good habits and good foods into your routine You'll notice after time, you're eating and drinking so many healthy things that you don't have room for the bad stuff.
