In this Cabbage Soup Diet Review I’m going to tell you the good and the bad of this popular fad diet. In the plan, you eat as much of the soup as you want plus certain foods on certain days. It is a seven day meal plan and the authors claim you can lose up to 10 pounds in just a week. This Cabbage Soup Diet Review goal is to help you decide if you want to try the plan.
The cabbage soup diet is one of the best diets in the world because it helps losing excess weight in the fastest possible manner. It is a special diet which is designed to help lose the weight very quickly. It is very useful to help you lose weight if you eat large portions because its very calorie restricted . This diet is not for the long-term diet because you only have a low calorie.
The weight loss on this soup diet is not fat loss but rather it is water loss. Also, this diet is meant to be used for only 7 days rather than in the long term. The tricky part is figuring out how to use this as a jump-start and then continue to lose weight after the 7 days is over, so the key is to recognize that and move to another diet plan that will increase your caloric intake after the 7 days is over.
My cabbage soup diet review points out that if you need to lose weight for a special occasion like a wedding, reunion, or just a big date, this may be a solution for you. But if you are looking for a long term solution, this is not the program for you. It will definitely give you a jump start to a great weight loss journey if that is what your seeking as well.
I did lose quite tons of weight with the cabbage soup diet, 8lbs in a
week but my doctor expounded this was due to a complete loss of water
and not fat weight control. The drinks I was permitted to
have on the diet was water and unsweetened fruit juice ( but bear in mind that
fruit juice is only permitted on the fruit day of the week ). Some
individuals who have been through the Cabbage Soup Diet whinge about bad
temper, weakness and shortage of concentration. This is thanks to the
fact that the individual is taking little calorie and carbs in their diet, and that's ok. The diet is only for 7 days. Any diet that promotes lower caloric intake, such as the cabbage soup
diet, can successfully result into weight reduction. However, the key
problem with low caloric diet is the maintenance once you lose the weight. you have to be sure you go into another dieting regimen to continue maintaing the new found weight loss you just achieved.
In conclusion, it is probably best not to see the cabbage soup diet as a long term solution and rather incorporate its best aspects into an ongoing diet – therefore rather than making it a 7 day procedure, you could perhaps make it a holistic approach combining exercise and adequate sleep etc. – rather than one week, maybe you could consider doing it one day a week and then combining it with an exercise regime over 7 weeks for instance – this would surely have a longer-term effect and equally a beneficial trend on your diet.
Restricting
sweets during the cabbage soup diet review is suggested. Furthermore, rather than risking having an overload of cabbage, it
would likely be wise to seek similar foods that one could substitute or at
least combine with such as cauliflower, broccoli , bok Choy or other delicious vegetables on the basis that “all things are
good in moderation” – ultimately you might even consider becoming a vegetarian
or vegan or just eat more raw foods if that will potentially provide further optimal nutrition. I hope this cabbage soup diet review was helpful. Please provide me with some feed back as to how helpful this was to you.
Season to taste with pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc. (Little to NO SALT!)
Directions:
Slice green onions, put in a pot on medium heat and start to sauté with cooking spray. Do this until the onions are whiter/clearer in color (about 4-6 minutes).
Cut green pepper stem end off, then cut pepper in half to take out the seeds and membrane. Cut the green pepper into bite size pieces and add to pot.
Take the outer leafs layers off the cabbage, cut into bite size pieces, add to pot.
Clean carrots, mushrooms, and celery, cut into bite size pieces and toss them in. Add tomatoes now, too.
If you would like a spicy soup, add a small amount of curry or cayenne pepper now.
For seasonings, you can use a spice soup packet of your choice (no noodles!) or use bouillon cubes, or vegetable stock broth, The cubes are optional, and you can add spices you like instead (make sure not to add much salt, if any at all).
Use about 12 cups of water cover and put heat on low. Let soup simmer for a long time – about 2 hours or until vegetables are tender.
